Thanks to those that attended the Lake Colonial Estates Homeowners Association Annual Meeting!
Even in the snow we had 30 homeowners come out and enjoyed some coffee and mini muffins from the Coffee Beanery in Franklin as we discussed community business and matters at hand. A few things to highlight:
* Annual dues are $115.00 per lot and are due at this time. Deadline for payment is March 15th, 2010. Payments may be brought to the annual meeting or mailed to LCE P.O. Box 72 Arrington, TN 37014. After March 15th, 2010 late fees will be incurred. Please mail your payment early.
* The 2009 Board of Directors presented an annual review and financial statement as well as budget and goals for 2010
* We discussed implementing a 'neighborhood watch' program. More discussion to follow. We are proud to live in a very safe community and no incidents have occurred, this would be just a discussion regarding if it's something we would like to put in place in the future.
* If you see otters around the lake - please contact our common grounds officer, Steve Shaffer asap!
* If you know of anyone that might like to advertise on our website please email us through the 'contact us' section of the site! this goes for homeowners that may offer services as well like dog walking, yard mowing, babysitting, etc...
It was a great time to come together. Missed you if you were unable to be there!
LCE HOA Board
Leash Law!
Just a reminder there is a leash law for Williamson County. Within our Lake Colonial Estates Restrictive covenants, Section 4, "all animals shall be confined to their owner's property and otherwise comply with county ordinances." The HOA Board can't enforce the law, only the county authorities can. We can reach out to neighbors on your behalf as a board and we always encourage you to take time to talk to your neighbor if there is a loose animal issue, otherwise you will need to call the County Animal Control if violations continue.
Winter Newsletter! The winter 2010 edition is available in pdf form on this site. If you did not recieve yours please email us through the 'contact us' page with your lot #, name and address.
Fishing passes! The passes you received this past Summer are good through 2010. Please have your fishing pass with you when you fish. This helps signify you are a resident and helps protect your private lake from others fishing illegally. If you ever notice any suspicious or unlawful behavior at any time at the lake please contact the sheriff's office immediately. This helps keep our community safe! Enjoy the lake! If you are a new resident and need a fishing pass or if you've lost yours, please email us through the 'contact us' page on this site.
Covenant & Restriction Changes! The ballots are in! All four of the proposed amendments to the Lake Colonial Covenants & Restrictions pertaining to the following issues have passed:
- Allowing 2 horses or ponies per lot, instead of one
- Privacy gate/driveway clarification
- The height of privacy fencing around pools
- Trailers/Vehicles on lots
